Data deletion

How to ask Beyond Cloud to delete your personal information, including WhatsApp messages, and what happens next.

Last updated · Version 1.2

1. How to request deletion

  1. Email fowdarvd06@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request”, or send “Delete my data” on WhatsApp to +230 5774 6923.
  2. Tell us the email address or phone number you used to contact us, roughly when, and whether you want everything deleted or only some of it.
  3. We check the request comes from you, usually by replying to that email address or number. We do not ask for passwords or identity documents.
  4. We delete the information and confirm by reply within one month. If a request is complex, we tell you within that month and finish within one further month.

You do not need an account, and there is no charge.

2. What we delete

Your emails and WhatsApp messages with us, your contact details, and any notes or documents about your enquiry or project. Today, that information is held in our Gmail and WhatsApp accounts and our project files. The demos on this website do not store anything about you.

3. What we may have to keep

If we did paid work for you, the law requires us to keep invoices and related records for tax and accounting purposes. We keep only what is required, use it for nothing else, and delete it when that period ends. We may also keep information needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. If we keep anything, our reply tells you what and why.

4. Information held by our providers

Netlify, which hosts this website, keeps its own technical logs, and Google and WhatsApp keep their own backups, for periods they set. When we delete information from our accounts, removal from those providers’ systems follows their schedules.

5. WhatsApp and Meta

Deleting our conversation removes it from our WhatsApp account. WhatsApp (part of Meta) holds its own information about your WhatsApp account under its own privacy policy: you can delete your copy of the chat in your WhatsApp app and manage your account data in WhatsApp’s settings. This website does not use Facebook Login or any Meta app that collects your Facebook data.

6. Information we handle for a business

If we handled your information on behalf of a business you deal with, that business decides what happens to it. Ask that business, or tell us which business it is and we will pass your request on.

7. Questions or complaints

For questions, email fowdarvd06@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp at +230 5774 6923. Our Privacy Policy explains your other rights. You can also complain to the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.
